Summary Tribute: The Richard Atkins Story ()


Fly-on-the-wall documentary following the tumultuous journey of one of the worlds most respected and talented Elvis Tribute Acts, Richard Atkins, as he comes out of retirement and accidentally forms a hit West End show along the way.


Richard Atkins spent 15 years on the road touring the UK and Europe as what many critics consider the greatest Elvis Tribute Act (ETA) to ever come from this side of the Atlantic. The documentary picks him up as he decides to try and re-enter the tribute scene after an 18 month sabbatical after continuous touring took its toll and left him burnt out. With fly-on-the-wall honesty and wit, "Tribute" follows Richard as he juggles terrible management, bizarre jobs, an unsupportive sister, ETA rivalry and more with charm, humor and unflinching dignity in his quest back to the top. Culminating in a pilgrimage to the Mecca of the ETA world in search of industry representation, the "King Of The World" contest in Memphis Tennessee, "Tribute" is a roller-coaster journey as you accompany Richard through the most testing time of his life.
